Overview

QuickPad is a simple collaborative notepad. We built it so you can write and share notes without creating an account. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

• Note content — text you write, including titles and collaborative edits, stored so your note can be opened and shared via its link.
• Access tokens — management and session tokens stored in your browser so you can edit notes you created or unlock password-protected notes.
• Basic technical data — IP address, browser type, and request logs used for security, rate limiting, and keeping the service running.
• Local browser data— recent notes and offline edits may be stored in your browser's local storage or IndexedDB on your device.

What we do not do

• We do not require accounts or collect names, emails, or phone numbers to use QuickPad.
• We do not sell your note content or personal data.
• We do not use your notes to train AI models.

How notes are shared

Anyone with a note's link can access it according to the settings you choose (editable, read-only, or password-protected). You are responsible for who you share links with. Do not put sensitive information in notes unless you understand these risks.

Data retention

Notes remain until you delete them, they expire (if you set an expiration), or they are removed by burn-after-reading. Deleted and expired notes are permanently removed from our database along with related versions and collaboration data.

Cookies and local storage

QuickPad uses browser local storage for management tokens, session tokens, and recent notes. Third-party ad providers you add to the site may use their own cookies — see their policies for details.

Third-party services

QuickPad is hosted using third-party infrastructure (for example Vercel, Render, Neon, and Upstash). These providers process data on our behalf to deliver the service. They are bound by their own privacy and security practices.

Your choices

• Delete a note at any time if you have the management token.
• Use password protection, read-only links, expiration, or burn-after-reading for more control.
• Clear your browser's local storage to remove tokens and recent notes from your device.
